About Us

A Clayton YES! Early Childhood Center
Greenbrier School
  • The Greenbrier School was established in 1983 by two teachers who loved children. As their partnership grew and developed, the school expanded its reach throughout the community.
  • In 1992, St. Matthew's Lutheran Church acquired the school as part of their outreach ministry to young children, renaming it St. Matthew's Greenbrier School.
  • We provide a variety of spiritually-based experiences within a Christian classroom environment.  Chapel is held in the church sanctuary every Tuesday morning on a voluntary basis.
  • We use developmentally appropriate curriculum, resources; hire staff and provide programs to help children grow and develop into the people God wants them to be.
  • We foster children's natural desire to discover and learn by providing opportunities in which they can joyously explore their world during each hour they're in our care.
  • The Director is Amy Dixson, and the Assistant Director is Michelle Bollinger.
  • We provide care for ages 6 weeks to age 5
  • We are a 4-star vendor for CCMS
  • We are an early childhood member of the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association
  • Please visit us at 5701 Wedgwood Drive (parallel street to Granbury Rd.) next to St. Matthew’s church building. You may call us at 817-292-5592 or email us at stmatthewsgreen@sbcglobal.net
TEACHER, KAY GREEN, WINS AWARD

Congratulations to teacher, Kay Green, who is the recipient of a "Best Mannered Teacher" award from the Greater Fort Worth Chapter of the National League of Junior Cotillions (NLJC).  Kay was nominated by a former student who wrote an essay about her positive characteristics, how she shows courtesy and respect, and how she is a good role model to her students.

The Greater Fort Worth Chapter of NLJC is proud of the students who participate in the Cotillion program, and feel it is important to let the community know that these students recognize and appreciate those who make a positive contribution toward their growth.  Kay's award was presented at the Grand Spring Ball in Weatherford on March 10.
